Unfortunately, the geek loves fish. He thinks that it can fully stand in for a meat dish. Which we all know is wrong. But every once in a while I do him a favor and make fish. Have I mentioned that I love him? Well, it even extends to eating fish.
Last Sunday was leftover day and that is what I found in the fridge. Yes, sliced and everything. You funny readers.
What you could not see in the picture is the serving of potatoes that I precooked and sliced before I mixed everything but the fish - that being potatoes, tomatoes, onions and garlic in a casserole prepared with olive oil, salt, pepper and a Sicilian herb mixture. No clue what that contained, but Sicilian sounded like ocean which sounded like fish which sounded like suitable for my two happy giltheads. Which were filled with that same herb mixture.
On top I placed the lemon slices and if I had remembered it in time, I would have grated some parmesan cheese on top. We did that later on.
All of that into the oven for about half an hour and voilá:
Don't tell him, but I liked it.
